Excel Sheets Separator is a small but useful application that allows you to break one single Excel document with more than one worksheet into separate files, converting each worksheet into one single Excel file.
One of the advantages of using this program is that you can select to separate one or more files at the same time. Another advantage is that the program supports both xls and xlsx excel formats.
There are two ways to add files. You can select file by file or select an entire folder. With the second option all the Excel files included in the folder will be automatically added.
The files to be separated are automatically added to a list on the Main window. Here you can change the order of the Excel documents. There also two more frames in the lower side of the main window, the Workbooks frame and the Worksheet frame. There you can manually select or unselect the worksheets you want to split for each file.
There are three ways to assign the names of the output files, you can assign the names based on their own sheet names, assign the name of the workbook name and sheet name, or you can assign consecutive numbers, 1.xls, 2.xls, 3.xls, and so on.
After this, the last thing to do is to click the Separate button, and you will be asked to choose the folder where the files will be saved.
